"No more grey mornings, I think I'd rather die"

I listened to this song today while I was cleaning. I loved my time in Kansas, dear friends and family so close. But, sheesh the winters were hard for me. I woke up today in sunny Southern Nevada and I am grateful for the sun the blue skies and the lovely temperatures. Even in the 120 degree summers.

p.s. Guess who's concert I get to go to in July.

Did you enjoy the Olympics?

We really enjoyed the Olympics this year. The kids were enthralled. Ryne loved the snowboarding, they all loved the speed skating, and the girl's loved the figure skating. One night while we were watching the pairs figure skating Kate made a keen observation. She said, "the difference between the men and the women skaters is that the man lifts weights." And then she stopped and thought a little longer and goes, "except the weight is a LADY!"

Very Good Advice

This is what Ryne brought home today. For their spelling tests they have a dictation portion. The sentence they were to write was, "I should brush my teeth when I finish eating sugar." Ryne wrote, "I should brush my teet when I finish eating sugar." I can't believe she marked that wrong!

I wonder

I wonder if, with eyes that big, he can see more of the world than the rest of us.
