October is here, how I love the month of October. But, I've had a problem with it for the last seven or so years. I couldn't enjoy it because I always knew that close behind was a long winter. I don't like winter, I don't like snow, I don't like ice storms or wind chill factors. I don't like seeing my breath or hacking coughs or any of it. Have I mentioned I don't like winter. But, I think I will be able to enjoy October in Henderson, NV. This is why:

Oh, hey, Leah. You've likely noticed that I'm not much of a commenter. I couldn't let this one go. Here's why: I was on Karen's blog and saw your post title while I was listening to (wait for it) Walking Man...no joke. I'm a little creeped out. Maybe the universe is trying to keep a Stapley/Fosse connection alive? I'm with you on the winter thing too. I have a pit in my stomach for most of fall in acticipation of it. Yes, I do live in Northern California. What? No, I don't I consider myself a pansy.
Oh, I love this game! How 'bout this one: "I'm gonna cash in my hand and pick up on a piece of land and build myself a cabin back in the woods. And it's there I'm gonna stay until there comes a day, when this old world starts changing for the good." Oh yes, and ditto to everything you said about winter. Damn season!!! Mudslide Slim, that was a good one. Aubrey I totally remember talking to your mom about JT, I thought she was the coolest because she would take you guys to see him. Matt that is freaky, the Fosse/Stapkey connection is alive and well. When are you guys coming to Vegas?
What boring weather, no sirens, no ice storms, no below zero weather, no snow. Just think of your poor little ones...mommy daddy...what is snow or...I hear some kids have coats, what are those?

Ahh Fall, I love it too....but I know the snow and freezing cold is right behind it.
We need to come visit you guys in a few months and next summer you need to come and cool off in the pines with us!

Everybody's got the blues. Got me through many a rough spell. Who do I think I am? The only one with problems? What about this one: She had to be high by the look in her eye. Well her hands were wet and her mouth was dry.
Remember when we used to play this during Sunday School in the singles ward? Good times....good times.
